Gara LaMarche's last Berkeley lecture, "What Do Progressives Stand for?" will be Tuesday, April 16 at 5:30–7 p.m. in the Goldberg Room, Boalt Hall, Berkeley School of Law. A flyer is attached—please feel free to share and circulate.

Gara is pleased that his two respondents are longtime friends and progressive leaders Manuel Pastor, Professor of American Studies & Ethnicity at the University of Southern California (where he also serves as Director of USC's Program for Environmental and Regional Equity (PERE) and co-Director of USC's Center for the Study of Immigrant Integration), and Vivien Labaton, a founder of the Third Wave Foundation and former Director of Strategic Program Initiatives at the Atlantic Philanthropies who has been working with the National Domestic Workers Alliance and the Tides Foundation on inserting women's voices into the immigration debate and other issues and campaigns.

There will be a reception immediately following, so if you come—and we hope you can—leave time for that, too.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
