Dr. Rossitza Schroeder is a medievalist and teaches courses on the relationship between art and religion. She is currently working on a book about the interactions between Byzantine monastic practice and visual representations. She is also studying Gentile Bellini’s portrait of Mehmed II and the complex interactions between Byzantium, Venice, and the Ottomans.
