Graduate Student Researcher

Mary Lindeblad-Fry is a Master of Public Policy candidate at UC Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy. Prior to attending Goldman, she received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Reed College in 2013 and used her senior thesis as an opportunity to analyze some of the sociological conditions that contribute to varying levels of economic prosperity between American Indian reservations. After graduating from Reed, she worked with a research team to develop and analyze the first comprehensive health needs assessment to take place on the Colville Indian Reservation. She also worked with a small Seattle-based company, Big Water Consulting, to assist tribes with developing and implementing housing-focused data collection projects. Most recently, she worked as an intern with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Pacific Northwest Team on strategic decision support projects. Mary grew up in eastern Washington state and is a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes.
