On Friday, January 12 HIFIS director john a. powell gave a lunch time presentation to senior leadership and staff at Denver Public Schools. Speaking to an audience of 200+ on "Leading from the Inside: Creating an Equitable and Inclusive System", Dr. powell spoke to understanding how educational structures become racialized, having a trickle down effect on student performance and school ratings.
