Josephine Okudoh is a junior transfer student from New Jersey. She is currently a senior majoring in Political Economy at UC Berkeley and plans to graduate in 2017. Josephine is very passionate about social justice and public service and enjoys public speaking. Working under Stephen Menendian and director john a. powell, Josephine is working on a presentation that explains social cleavages existing in Turkey, Syria, and Iraq. In her past, she has interned for the San Francisco Shared Schoolyard Project as well as the Hillary for America campaign team in California. She was also appointed as director at the Model United Nations in Nigeria, which showed her how one person can leave endless impacts on society given the opportunity. She lives by the saying spoken by Muhammad Ali, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”
