Heather Bromfield is a Research Associate for the Haas Institute working with the Equity Metrics and California Community Partnerships divisions. She draws on training in GIS and mixed methods research to understand housing affordability, neighborhood opportunity, and community development with racial and social justice lenses. Prior to arriving at the Haas Institute, she received her Master's of City Planning from UC Berkeley. Heather has previously conducted research in Chile, Brazil and China in topics such as land use, community development, and mental health care. She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Political Science.
